Guten Tag, I like farm animals!

Guten Tag.  That's German for hello.  I've been studying Germany today.  You know discovering your past, right?  Well I come from Germany and I have a last name to prove it.  Mine means 'Weaver'.  Anyway I know the ideal decoration for my passion project, which, by the way is clay.  It's...  It's....

Farm Animals!

Yep, that's correct.  Animals on a farm.  I've already started planning.  A different animal for each product.  I've already done a pig and a duck.  It will be the cutest thing ever!

Also it's the end of Term 2 and we've have got homework to do over that time for our Discovering our Past project.

Guess what?  I'm basically the expert with clay without our clay tutor.  She wasn't here today so I had to teach some girls the basics of clay.

Oh, well that's the end of the Term.  I guess, well, bye!

My goal is...

Aloha...  And greetings to all.  Aloha is the hawaiian word for ' hello'.  I'm talking to you about...  Um... Oh yeah!  Goal setting.

I did 'goal setting' with Nicola. We set goals for the second half of the year.
Here are my goals that I set for my mid year report :

  • I need to focus on my time management for passion projects (I’m doing clay), reflection (reflection of my time doing pottery) and blogging.  I can hardly manage my time in this area of work.  I could potentially be slowed down with Marie as she has a number of people to work with. However, I could fill in my reflection sheet at home.

Then I changed it into a smaller goal for our goal tree and this is my varied and smaller version of my goal:

  • For my goal I need to focus on my time management in the area of pottery.  I will need to be more independent.  Grace W.
Now it is sadly time to go.  I will say a hui (goodbye) as I share the exciting news!  Marie has just arrived and it's 11:00 and I'm so excited!!!  So a hui again.
And also mahalo (thank you).

Can you guess the other thing I'm doing.  It's amazing!!!!  A......

Cow.  I said A Cow!!!!  It's so awesome and amazing.

Also today I've got a few answers to some of my Q's (remember last week?)  Can you think of 5 Qs to ask?  Think quite deeply.  I hope you come up with something interesting!  After lunch I gonna plan my awesome teapot!!!

Discovering your past!!

Why didn’t my Great Grandad go to the Mount Casino battle like his twin brother?
That is just one of my 'Discovering Your Past' questions.  We had to do 15 open ended questions!!!  I have  just finished mine!  Here are some other Q's to ask!!!

What side came to New Zealand first?
When did we lose our ancestors traditions?
How did we lose our traditions?
Which side of the family got into the most trouble of all time?
Which countries followed on from Dutch, British, Scottish and German???
What is one of the most important family members in our ancestry?
Are there any hidden family members that I do not know of?
What are other countries connected to me starting from the third generation and back?
How long back does our family go (as you remember)?
What are some of our traditions that we have carried on?

Got to go so, well, bye!  Passion projects!!!

Passion Projects are up and running!

Good morning or if your reading this past 12 good afternoon.
It's quarter past 11 as I'm writing this to you!  Anyway, today we've already done some great things.  We've had a refresh from last weeks big announcement; do you know this term we are doing discovering our past!  We had to name 1 thing we have learnt about our family and from the timeframe so many people couldn't answer the question!!  And then we had to do a personal development session and I was with Katie following on from 'The Pit'. We also have some delightful people in at the moment from up North.  Did you know they are looking to have their own Enrich?  That's pretty cool.  You know whats even cooler?  Passion Projects are here again!  And that means that now I need to do mine and get it up and running again!
  Catch you later!

Hey I'm back!!!!

Hi!!!!!!

How was your holidays?  Mine was great.  But now it's back to excellent Enrich to do our Marvelous morning email.  We have already done Perfectionism with Jenni.  We had a terrific test on perfectionism and it turned out I like more things to be perfect than things I don't care about.
I still have to do Thinking on my feet with Jenni and also Brain boosters with Jenni.  It's quite funny that I had Katie Katie Katie then Paul Paul Paul so looks like I'm left with Jenni to go into.  Guess what I'm doing for my Passion project???

CLAY POTTERY!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!  AGAIN?!?!?!

Yes.  I truly am.  And I'm so excited to have my first blog of the term done.  But if I said done, I mean goodbye.  See you later!

ANOTHER EPIC HELLO/GOODBYE FOR THE TERM!!!!!

It is the end of the Term that was gone in the blink of an eye!!  As you see another epic hello by me!  I don't know whether to say hi or bye!  Anyway, back to my day.

Today I had to zoom back to the past and remember what learning style out of:

  • Auditory - Enjoy listening to a speaker, but also you may hear things that distract you.
  • Kinesthetic -Enjoy learning that involves movement or, hands on projects.
  • Visual - Seeing pictures in your head and imagining what your finished product will look like.

I AM VISUAL!!!!!!!!

Basically three quarters of the class were visual.  I would of thought that I was kinesthetic because I'm very good with hands on stuff.  But the more I think about it, the more I think I am visual.

Today, we also did some brain training exercises.  It's good to have a learning style that works for you, but it's also important to try and improve the others that you might not be as strong at.  My favourite brain training game was called 'The Game You Can't Stop'.

That was fun.  Now it's time for the EPIC GOODBYE FOR THE TERM!!!!!
